The Life and Crimes of Reverend Racoon

Raccoon is a man of many faces: conman, soldier, father, faith healer and preacher, then God found him. Now he’s escaped federal detention, is about to deliver one final sermon and share the divine knowledge he has acquired on his journey. He’s also going to educate his congregation (the audience) as to why, in life, they should always choose the baked potato option.

The Life and Crimes of Reverend Raccoon is a one-man dark comedy, by Jeremy Fletcher, about why some people need to keep the faith. The play is inspired by true events experienced by the writer when the young son of some close family friends was killed, the family turned to a spiritualist church - where they invested time and money - subsequently the leader of that church was discredited.

The Life and Crimes of Reverend Raccoon was directed by Marcus J Bazley and played by Gareth Watkins. The play was developed with the support of Cast Theatre, Sheffield Theatres (part of Making Room) and Theatre Delicatessen.

Shadow on Their Wall

'He awakes with a gasp, confused and bearing the ultimate guilt. But can he move on from his darkest hour and reconnect with his soul mate? Might he find some salvation? A spine-tingling tale of a man who has to endure the consequences of his own actions.'

A one man play performed by Gareth Watkins at the Buxton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe and the Phoenix Theatre.
